Together again in Ottawa #Invite2

Together again in Ottawa

Can’t wait to see friends and family? Neither can we! Help us get the tourism industry in Ottawa back on track by inviting loved ones to reunite together in Canada’s capital. Don’t know where to start? Enter our contest for your chance to win an Ottawa getaway prize for out-of-town guests.

Why are visitors important?

Ottawa’s third most important industry—tourism—has been the hardest-hit by the pandemic and will take the longest to recover. In fact, the city suffered a combined $2.8 billion loss in visitor spending in 2020 and 2021.

Invite to win

The good news is, locals and visitors can work together to get things back on track! If every household in Canada’s capital region invited 2 out-of-town guests for a 3-day visit, it would pump half a billion dollars into our visitor economy. It’s an attainable goal that we can all contribute to. And to get started, we’re giving away a getaway to Ottawa for two out-of-town guests!

What fun things can we do?

Between the walkable downtown core, welcoming neighbourhoods and charming countryside, the Ottawa region is a vibrant and relaxing getaway destination. Plus, there are new and exciting things to try, including the Interzip Rogers zipline over the Ottawa River (linking Ontario and Quebec), a pipe mountain coaster, an immersive Van Gogh experience, as well as new shops, restaurants, breweries and distilleries—all with inviting patios. Classic favourites like museums, tours, cycling, water sports and green spaces are better than ever with expanded offerings. Allow us to inspire you on ways to safely reconnect and make memories with family and friends in urban and rural Ottawa.
