Determined, Driven, Motivated
Ottawa athletes Maya Addai, Samuel Charron, and Jean Emmanuel Pierre-Charles have contributed to an Ottawa Tourism campaign to attract future sporting events to our city: they are determined, driven, and motivated to succeed, as is our Major Events and Sport team! We take care of hospitality so athletes can focus purely on the competition.
The Ottawa Titans, the new baseball team, was supposed to start its inaugural season this summer. However, due to the uncertainty regarding the reopening of the U.S.-Canada border, the Frontier League has announced that the Ottawa Titans will not field teams for the 2021 season, though an all-Canadian travelling team will be formed and will play in the U.S. The Titans will debut in 2022.
Discover the Virtually Ottawa platform
Ottawa Tourism’s Business Events team recently launched Virtually Ottawa, an interactive experience for conference planners to explore Ottawa while in-person site visits are not a possibility. Viewers are virtually welcomed to the Shaw Centre, have the opportunity to explore Ottawa’s landscape through a panoramic city tour, and can discover locally inspired experiences, including a mixology demonstration, a yoga break and a visit to CrEATe Kitchen with the Shaw Centre’s Chef Patrick Turcot.
