Media release: Ottawa Tourism Welcomes Julie Kinnear as Vice President, Marketing & Communications

OTTAWA, June 23, 2026—Ottawa Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Kinnear as its new Vice President, Marketing & Communications, effective August 2026. A highly respected leader in Canada’s tourism and hospitality sector, Julie joins Ottawa Tourism from Loto-Québec, where she held the position of General Manager at Hôtel-Casino du Lac‑Leamy and Casino de Mont‑Tremblant. She previously served as President and CEO of Outaouais Tourism, bringing a strong track record in destination marketing, stakeholder engagement and regional tourism development.

In her new role, Julie will lead Ottawa Tourism’s integrated marketing and communications strategy, overseeing paid, owned and earned media, as well as brand positioning, content development and partnerships. She will play a key role in strengthening Ottawa’s visibility and competitiveness as a premier Canadian urban destination.
