6 Ottawa restaurants make the list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants 2024

Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants of 2024 have just been announced and six Ottawa’s restaurants have made the coveted list! Enjoy Canadian cuisine, fish, a 40-course tasting menu, natural wine and more at these incredible restaurants in Canada’s capital city.

No. 28 – Riviera

Located inside a heritage building along Sparks Street situated just across from Parliament Hill, Riviera is the highest-ranking Ottawa restaurant on the list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, coming in at an impressive #28! You’ll find high-end, creative Canadian cuisine and drinks served here.

Opened in 2016, Riviera quickly became the go-to restaurant for fancy romantic date nights, girls’ nights, happy hours and everything in between. The menu is decadent and features elevated takes on classics like shrimp salad cocktails and dry-aged steaks.

No. 43 – Atelier

Head to Ottawa’s Little Italy neighbourhood for a 40-course tasting menu at Atelier — a modern Canadian cuisine restaurant that aims to provide a dining experience like never before.

With a dining time of approximately four hours, you and your company are in for a culinary journey. The menu changes regularly and features dishes you likely have never heard of before. Think: Freeze-dried tomato and mozzarella and “air waffles.”

See for yourself why Atelier landed in the top 50 of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants in 2024.

No. 71 – Arlo Wine & Restaurant

At Arlo Wine & Restaurant, you’ll find one of the best natural wine cellars in the country. Located in a charming corner of Somerset West Street, the chefs crafted their menu to pair perfectly with it’s extensive wine offerings.

Enjoy grilled pork collar, duck frites or beef tataki. Keep in mind, the menu is forever evolving, so each visit here may be a totally unique experience. With its cozy atmosphere, backyard patio, unique décor and friendly service, it’s no wonder why Arlo Wine & Restaurant made the Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list again this year.

No. 75 – Supply and Demand

Known for its decadent small plates and raw bar menu staples, Supply and Demand will delight your senses. This Westboro restaurant is modern and stylish and serves some of the best fish-oriented dishes in the city.

Try the classic beef tartare with Avonlea cheddar and pommes gaufrettes, leeks vinaigrette with chilled shrimp and fingerling potatoes or roast Atlantic cod with fregola, safron and mussels sauce and learn why Supply and Demand is on the Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list.

No. 95 – North & Navy

Northern Italian cuisine served in a converted home-turned-restaurant. North & Navy is a romantic spot found in Ottawa’s Centretown. With numerous unique dishes perfect for sharing, you’ll have the opportunity to taste a multitude of divine flavours.

This restaurant landed on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list for good reason. Try the beef mortadella, asparagus risotto and duck & sprouted lentils and be taken on a decadent culinary journey you won’t soon forget.

No. 97 – Buvette Daphnée

Buvette Daphnée is a self-described “Quebec wine bar” located in Ottawa’s ByWard Market neighbourhood. The restaurant features an ever-evolving menu of seafood and vegetarian dishes and an extensive drink menu.
