With a selection of Fairmont-exclusive loose-leaf teas, your pot of tea will be one to savour. Ask the servers for their recommendations, you might just get a tea blend with a Canadian twist! Also on the menu; English scones with mascarpone cream and house-made strawberry jam.

There is no formal dress code for Afternoon tea at the Chateau Laurier, but smart casual is recommended. Most people will be in dressy clothes up to formal wear.  

Le Cordon Bleu 

You can have a premiere afternoon tea experience at the only Cordon Bleu campus in Canada! Here, students in the Diplome de Patisserie program prepare an Afternoon tea drawing from French culinary tradition. This exclusive experience is only offered a few dates each season, so make sure to keep an eye on their upcoming events to reserve your tea.  

Tea on the Lawn at Billings Estate National Historic Site 

Tea on the Lawn is a favoured summertime tradition for an affordable high tea experience on the backdrop of a heritage home built almost 200 years ago, making it one of Ottawa’s oldest homes in the city.  

 At just $21.95/person, the three-tier tea experience is a steal! Make a reservation as dates fill up quickly.   

Brunch and Afternoon Tea at Vanitea Room 

Vanitea Room brings new meaning to ‘tea party'. This tearoom is renowned for its gorgeous interior and drag brunches, where you can enjoy a brunch tea sampler (afternoon tea reimagined with breakfast fixings) while local drag artists dazzle! Stop in later in the day for a more standard afternoon tea experience. Vanitea also offers a vegan high tea. Popular for bachelorette/girls' weekends!

Quelque Chose is a popular spot for sweet treats, known for meticulously presented desserts which don’t compromise on taste. Their Afternoon Tea follows these standards, making it a great choice for the fine dining enthusiast!  

Quelque Chose presents their Afternoon tea with freshly baked scones and croissants, providing gluten-free and vegetarian options and a discounted rate for children. The Petit Afternoon Tea is a nice option if you’re looking for a lighter and more economical portion, omitting tea sandwiches.
