Ottawa Visitor Incentive Program guidelines

  • Eligible travel dates between July 19, 2021, and end on October 15, 2022, or such other date as may be determined by Ottawa Tourism.
  • “Eligible operators” are certified Tour Operators and Receptive Operators who develop Tour Packages for Groups and/or Fully Independent Travelers (FIT), either based in Canada or creating domestic packaged travel for people living in Canada.
  • Ottawa Tourism shall make payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) to Tour Operators for each Hotel Night booked through the Tour Operator at an Eligible Accommodation where the booking includes a paid admission for a minimum of one (1) guest to visit an Eligible Attraction.
  • A Booking must be registered with Ottawa Tourism at least five (5) calendar days prior to the check-in date.
  • A billing summary report must be provided to Ottawa Tourism following the check-out date.
  • There is no minimum number of Hotel Nights required for a Booking to be eligible.
  • There is no limit on the number of Bookings the Tour Operator may submit for the payment.
  • Payments shall be made via EFT to a Canadian bank account in Canadian dollars.
  • This Program cannot be combined with any other promotion or offer, whether related to or offered by Ottawa Tourism or otherwise.
  • Tour Operators eligible for this program can include the Ottawa Tourism VIP stamp logo on all marketing and promotional materials it uses to promote their packages to Ottawa under this program.
