August 2021, dates to be announced
Each summer, be dazzled by spectacular fireworks displays exploding in shimmering waterfalls and blooms of colour high above the Ottawa River, all set to thrilling musical scores.
On Wednesday and Saturday evenings during the first three weeks of August, the fireworks are launched from a platform in the Ottawa River, directly below the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau. For the best pyromusical experience, get tickets to one of the official events held at the museum, which range from simple outdoor access to gourmet evenings.
You could also consider alternative viewing locations across the river in downtown Ottawa. Then sit back and enjoy pyrotechnic displays created by international designers, all vying for top spot in the Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light fireworks competition.
