Welcome to the first installment of the concert series featuring Studio Ghibli’s enchanting and iconic movie soundtracks, composed by the legendary Joe Hisaishi.
Embark on a symphonic journey through the magical world of Studio Ghibli. This musical tribute guides listeners through both new and familiar storyscapes, from the scheming monarchies in Howl’s Moving Castle to the mystical spirit world of Spirited Away. Experience a live orchestra bring two of Hayao Miyazaki’s most beloved films to life—films that taught a generation to be brave, to hope, to dream and encouraged everyone to never lose their youthful wonder.
To conclude this Ghibli offering, a specially commissioned piece will be performed, combining Hisaishi’s evocative scores from all 13 Studio Ghibli films.
