Follow Mādahòkì Farm

Experience authentic Indigenous culture, including seasonal events, a year-round marketplace and other programming at this rural site within the city of Ottawa.

Located just southwest of downtown, in the National Capital Greenbelt, Mādahòkì Farm is home to local organization and attraction Indigenous Experiences. The farm’s name, which means “to share the land” in the Anishnaabe language, reflects the farm’s agricultural and community focus. The site features large indoor and outdoor spaces for programming, animals such as rare and endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses, and a year-round Indigenous marketplace of authentic artisanal products from across Canada (on-site and online).

Seasonal events highlighting traditional food, dance, music and more—such as the popular Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival—are held at Mādahòkì Farm. Groups can arrange special visits to the site year-round.
