The name of the festival is an Inuktitut word that means "Storytelling." The event showcases stories, films, and music by Indigenous peoples from the circumpolar north, such as the Inuit of Canada and Greenland and the Sámi of Northern Europe. This year's program includes two feature films, and 10 short films, all of which show the beauty of the land, the richness of Indigenous cultures and traditions, and the challenges of colonialism.
