Media library

Ottawa Tourism’s images and video, available within the online media library, are "royalty-free" for promoting and/or Ottawa Tourism services, products, destinations or businesses, in non-commercial applications. Examples include:

• Materials promoting a specific area and/or all of Ottawa (e.g., guides, websites, videos, presentations, maps);
• Meeting, conference and tourism trade show material and displays;
• Travel product catalogues;
• Location scouting for video and film production;
• Promotional posters, calendars, postcards, CDs or DVDs that are not for sale; and
• Tourism websites, television spots or commercials.

Images and video materials may not be used, reproduced, or repurposed for:

• Materials intended for sale (e.g., books, calendars, postcards, screen savers) and the packaging of materials intended for sale (e.g., book jackets, CD covers);
• Materials that are used to sell or promote a non-tourism related business, service or product;
• Materials related to tobacco, alcohol and religious or moral issues;
• Personal or business letterhead, business cards and interior decoration;
• Materials used for partisan political purposes; and souvenirs (e.g., T-shirts, playing cards, water bottles);
• Modifying images using artificial intelligence (AI) or using them to train AI models;
• Original or repurposed distribution on stock imagery websites.

Images and video materials may not be substantively altered, duplicated, shared, sold or copied unless authorized by Ottawa Tourism.

Users are required to provide credit to "Ottawa Tourism".

By using the images and/or video, you, the user, agree to the above conditions and take full responsibility to use the images and/or video for non-commercial applications.
