How do I know when I can use my passport?
Clicking on the calendar icon in the mobile passport will let you know when you can start using the passport, or if it’s already activated. You can also see the date your passport expires and is no longer available through this feature. A passport must be activated within 90 days of receiving it. Activation of a passport can take place at any of the attractions and will occur at your first use of the passport with an attraction, and the passport is valid for 72 hours once activated.
Please note that certain attractions on the Ottawa Inspiration Passport need to be booked as early as 3 weeks prior to visiting – see FAQ 4 below. For full details, please read our Terms and Conditions.
Is there a paper version of the passport I can use?
Our passports are digital only and require a mobile phone to access. Therefore, they are not offered in printed or physical formats.
Can I transfer my passport to someone else to use?
This passport is only open to travel professionals and is therefore non-transferable.
Is a reservation required at the attractions? If so, how can I make one?
Some attractions on the passport may require that you book ahead of time. If this is the case, information on how to make the reservation will be included on the admission page for that attraction.
Who can I contact for location specific information before I visit an attraction?
Please reach out to the attraction to speak with a staff member. Clicking on the ‘Info’ button on the Venue page will provide you with a phone number to call.
Are parking fees included in my purchase?
Unless specified in the venue’s offering, additional fees like parking are not included.
Is this an app?
Our passports look and feel like an app but are actually mobile-optimized websites that are immediately delivered to your phone after signing up or purchasing. Your passport will also update in real time if an update is made, eliminating the need to update your passport through the App or Google Play store.
