Discover products from Indigenous makers while sipping a fine coffee in this combined café and retail space at Lansdowne.
Beandigen Cafe is much more than a coffee shop. Entrepreneurs Paula Naponse and her daughter Jayde—Anishinabe Kwe from the Atikameksheng Anishinawbek First Nation near Sudbury, Ontario—created the unique space as a community for both Indigenous people and their supporters. Along with hot beverages, the shop sells clothing, soft drinks and other distinctive products of Indigenous makers. Beandigen also runs special events, such as beading workshops. You’ll find the cozy café at Lansdowne, a bustling retail and entertainment complex in the Glebe neighbourhood.
