A celebration of all things downtown: Chefs Raghav Chaudhary from Aiana, Joe Thottungal of Thali, Adam Vettorel of North & Navy, Katie Ardington of…
True to its name, this is Ottawa’s biggest craft brewer. Tour the Kanata brewery or drop into one of two lively brewery restaurants for great pub fare with your beer.
From the light and refreshing Bongo radler to the intensely flavoured Alpha Bomb IPA, Big Rig has a brew to suit just about every taste. In the west-end suburb of Kanata, learn about beermaking on a brewery tour. Or enjoy a hearty meal—jambalaya, a Philly cheesesteak pizza or mac ‘n’ cheese, perhaps—in one of the brewery’s restaurants: one on Iris Street in the west end, and the other on Ogilvie Road in the east end. Both are easily accessible from Highway 417 and have free parking. And don’t miss the low-calorie, caffeine-free root beer!
