Boogát

Boogát is back at the NAC with a new album! Entitled Del Horizonte (from the expression “beyond the horizon”), the artist’s new show pushes the festive vibe even further, with video projections that encourage audience interaction and staging that conveys universal messages of love, togetherness, and acceptance of difference. It portrays a changing Quebec where immigration is inevitable and underlines the importance of keeping the spirit of rebellion alive and rallying behind the decolonial movement already underway. All this in Spanish, performed by a collective that shifts from trio to quintet while juggling traditional and electronic instruments. Music that makes you dance and think; a sure-fire fiesta!
