The 2024 Artist-in-Residence exhibition by Don Kwan, Hidden Heroes, weaves together the stories of unsung heroes.
Explore compelling mixed-media installations that celebrate the contributions of essential workers during a pivotal chapter in Canadian history. Featuring intricate sculptures crafted from paper ephemera, paper clay, joss paper, and archival photographs, Hidden Heroes merges historical insights with artistic interpretations to deepen our understanding of the Diefenbunker’s role in the Cold War.
Admission to the exhibition is included with museum entry. This event is part of the Diefenbunker’s 10th-anniversary celebration of its Artist-in-Residence Program.
