Savour Montreal-style bagels in a wide range of flavours and toppings. They're baked in a wood-burning oven 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Since 1993, Kettleman's Bagel in Ottawa's central Glebe neighbourhood has been delighting fans with its crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside bagels, topped with smoked salmon, smoked meat, chive cream cheese or other treats.
You can watch bakers at work in the open kitchen—hand-rolling bagels, boiling them in honey water and then sliding them into the roaring oven—as you wait for your freshly made sandwich. As well as classics, such as Reubens and westerns, you can try Italian, vegetarian and other sandwiches. And don't miss the knishes, latkes, pretzels and cinnamon rolls! Kettleman's has several other locations throughout the city, too.
