The magic of tradition meets the brilliance of culture at the annual Epiphany celebration. This must-attend event unites the diversity of Quebec and the Francophonie to honor an ancestral tradition rich in symbolism.
“The Epiphany is more than a celebration. It is a living link to our past, an opportunity to come together and preserve customs that enrich our cultural heritage. We are delighted to invite Quebec’s diverse community and visitors to join this festive event and discover or rediscover our traditions,” states Impératif français.
People come from all over the country! On January 11, the event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Centre Aydelu, 94 rue du Patrimoine, Gatineau. Guests will immerse themselves in the captivating atmosphere of this celebration, featuring a variety of exciting cultural activities and a folk performance by the group Grand Portage.
The highlight of the evening will be the crowning of the new monarchs, our King and Queen, and the tasting of the famous Galette des Rois and the iconic Caribou, both lovingly prepared by local artisans and steeped in symbolism. This culinary tradition will bring everyone together in an atmosphere of joy.
Student rate: A valid student card must be presented at the entrance.
Children must remain under parental supervision.
