Co-created by Sophia Fabiilli, Sarah Kitz, and Zoë Sweet, "Why It's Impossible to Raise a Girl" is a darkly humorous one-woman show written by Fabiilli and directed by Evalyn Parry, starring Zoë Sweet. Presented in English, the play follows Beth, a single parent, working professional, and 45-year-old living in her mother's basement, as she navigates life's challenges. The show explores the complex relationship between mother and child, focusing on the struggles of parenting and life's transitions during difficult times. Through a comedic yet poignant lens, the play examines the material difficulties of parenting, asking how we can support the people our children are becoming as they grow up and move beyond our expectations.
