Three great Ottawa organizations are coming together to present Artwalk 2024, an outdoor conversation and gallery crawl presented by the National Gallery of Canada, the Ottawa Art Gallery and the ByWard Market District Authority.
Artwalk kicks off at the National Gallery of Canada on the steps of the outdoor amphitheatre, beside artist Louise Bourgeois’ giant bronze spider known as “Maman”. Journalist Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld will interview Indigenous artist and prestigious Sobey Award nominee, Nico Williams.
Following the interview, you will go on a walking tour of independent galleries in the ByWard Market concluding with a reception and tour of the Ottawa Art Gallery. A brochure and map will be provided.
