Through an annual membership, members of Ottawa Tourism are equipped to become leaders in the local and regional tourism industry by taking advantage of exclusive information and opportunities provided to them. Ottawa Tourism is a not-for-profit organization that holds a diverse membership of more than 450 different businesses.

As an Ottawa Tourism member, you have the opportunity to network at various industry events, and you get access to professional development seminars as well as helpful industry research. You also benefit from access to co-op advertising opportunities and promotional activities that allow you to effectively target your preferred tourism markets. Your special events or exhibits may also be featured on Ottawa Tourism’s popular online Event Calendar.

Member approval process
All prospective member applications must undergo a three-part approval process, which can take up to 2 months to complete. All prospective member applicants are reviewed by the membership department, the membership committee, and our Board of Directors. Any prospective applicant who does not receive approval from each designated review body will not be admitted into membership with Ottawa Tourism. Please note that all decision are final and prospective applicants cannot appeal or renegotiate this approval process.
Membership Term
Memberships expire at the end of the calendar year and must be renewed annually. If you have been approved to membership part-way through the year, we will pro-rate your membership fee accordingly. Membership begins once Ottawa Tourism’s Board of Directors approves the fully completed application and full payment of annual dues is received. All member cancellations requests must be submitted in writing to our membership team by email or submitted to membership team contact webpage. Ottawa Tourism may automatically cancel any member with past dues more than thirty (30) days past due and may suspend any member if they breach the member code of ethics.
